Jeff is the Director ofInfrastructure Security at The AES Corporation, United States SBU (StrategicBusiness Unit).  The AES US SBU includestwo vertically-integrated companies, (Dayton Power & Light and IndianapolisPower & Light) along with generation businesses within the US footprintconsisting of Coal, Natural Gas, Oil, Wind, Solar and Energy Storage.  Jeff’s Infrastructure Security Team isresponsible for the AES US Corporate Cyber-security, all ICS related security(physical and cyber), all physical security and compliance to the NERC CriticalInfrastructure Protection (CIP) standards for the SBU.  Jeff is a US Army Veteran, spent 11 years in lawenforcement rising to the rank of Sargent and eventually to Chief of Police.Before moving out of law enforcement, Jeff worked in the “early days” ofcomputer crime and has amassed considerable experience in IT and cyber-security.  Jeff is a graduate of NorthwesternUniversity’s School of Police Staff and Command, earned a BS in MIS fromWestern Governor’s University, and holds or has held numerous technicalcertifications including the Certified Information Systems SecurityProfessional (CISSP), the Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE), theMicrosoft Certified System Administrator (MCSA) and the Cisco Certified NetworkAssociate (CCNA).
